Position Overview: The Anchored School is seeking a passionate and nurturing 1st–3rd Grade Teacher to join our Christ-centered, project-based learning community. The ideal candidate will integrate biblical values into daily instruction while fostering curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning experiences. This role is designed for an educator who believes in developing the whole child—academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, project-based lessons aligned with grade-level standards
Integrate Christian faith and biblical principles throughout daily instruction
Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
Use differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
Encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and student-led inquiry
Incorporate hands-on projects, STEM activities, literacy, and creative arts
Maintain positive communication with parents and school leadership
Support character development through Christian values and classroom expectations
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education
Teaching certification (preferred but not required depending on experience)
Experience teaching elementary-aged students (Grades 1–3 preferred)
Strong understanding of or willingness to learn project-based learning methods
Commitment to Christian faith-based education and values
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience with KWL charts, thematic instruction, or Montessori-inspired practices
Ability to integrate arts, STEM, and life skills into daily learning
Passion for hands-on, student-centered instruction
Team-oriented and adaptable in a growing school environment
