    What you will do: Financial Management

    Support budget creation, budget projections and analysis of expenses as needed.

    Review salaries being charged to projects and adjust to ensure correct allocation.

    Prepare, review, and distribute monthly/quarterly reimbursement invoices and financial reports.

    Analyze and monitor projects’ fund and cash balances and provide project and finance teams with regular status updates.

    Work with external accounting to ensure timely and accurate processing of payables, deposits, and billings.

    Assist in audit preparation and coordination.

    Grants Management

    Support projects’ funding proposals: assist with budgets, review proposals, provide supporting documents.

    Ensure complete documentation of funding awards.

    Partner with project managers to comply with funder’s terms and conditions, manage deliverables, monitor spending, request amendments, and plan spend-down.

    Additional Responsibilities

    Elev8 Baltimore is a collaborative and team-oriented work environment. All staff members are called on to occasionally collaborate on or support work outside of one’s usual day-to-day responsibilities. The Finance Manager must be a detail-oriented, collaborative, and self-directed team member with strong time management and customer service skills and must provide exceptional customer service to internal and external partners.

    Qualifications Preferred

    Bachelor’s degree

    Experience managing nonprofit finance

    Sophisticated nonprofit fund and federal grant accounting and management preferred

    Nonprofit operations experience preferred

    Experience working as part of a team delivering coordinated services highly desirable

    CPA a plus

    Required

    Budgeting experience

    Demonstrated skill in providing a high level of service to multiple partners

    Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint and Excel, and Adobe PDF management

    Proficiency with accounting software, spreadsheets, and data management systems

    Excellent communication and problem solving skills

    Extraordinary attention to detail

    Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously

    Desire to work in a fast paced, multi-cultural environment

    Commitment to the work of social and economic justice organizations

    Compensation and Benefits

    This is a full-time, salaried exempt position with a salary range of $75,000 to $80,000 annually based on professional experience.

    Elev8 offers a generous benefits package to eligible employees. This position receives an annual leave package each fiscal year starting with 17 accrued vacation days, 12 observed holidays, 8 sick days, and 10 days of office closure for winter holiday and spring break combined; retirement plan (includes a 3% employer contribution upon eligibility); company-paid life and disability; comprehensive health insurance plan (medical, dental, and vision); mileage and cell phone reimbursement; and professional learning and development opportunities.
