POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Manager, Extended Learning Programs Coordinators (ELC's) here at Elev8 Baltimore coordinate programming for one school in the network. In this role you are responsible for implementation and management of tutoring, after-school, and summer programming hosted by Elev8 Baltimore. The program serves students in grades 2-8, and the ELC works closely with the school leadership, faculty and Elev8 Baltimore staff to develop a program that complements academic instruction.
Typical hours:
Full time 10 AM - 6 PM
Travel:
Typically daily travel is not required other than for meetings for the grant/organization that are not remote. Extended Learning team has out of state trainings (conferences) that come up.
Compensation:
The salary for this position is $54,000 annually with full benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, and/or vision), paid vacation and sick time, retirement, mileage, and support for professional development opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
SITE COORDINATION and PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION
Supervise team of three to ten learning coaches and/or AmeriCorps Members to implement social and academic enrichment activities and tutoring
Plan and document regular site team meetings in accordance with organizational and grant standards
Provide coaching and development to site-based team
Review and approve lesson plans ensuring alignment with common core state standards
Implement continuous improvement plan and site performance measures aligned with the Youth Program Quality Intervention/Assessment
Manage athletic, social and cultural enrichment partners to implement after school and/or summer enrichment activities
Coordinate the promotion of and recruitment for tutoring, after school and summer programming to school staff, students and parents
Collaborate with school grade level teams to ensure alignment with scope and sequence of instruction
Assist with the distribution and collection of student enrollment forms, attendance rosters, consent forms and evaluation data
Manage facilities during programs
Oversee distribution and clean-up of snacks, lunch (summer only) and dinner meals
Coordinate and plan community meetings and end of season showcase events
Produce weekly and monthly calendars of activities and special programs
Provide coverage for groups in the event of learning coaches absence
Plan and facilitate training with the support of manager of extended learning team
Participate in staff meetings and staff development activities including national training to support program improvement and staff development; must be available to attend periodic overnight training and conferences
COMMUNICATION AND DOCUMENTATION
Establish and maintain communication with members of the school staff about student progress and aspects of the programs
Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
Maintain all required documentation including, but not limited to, enrollment forms, case notes, daily attendance, formative and summative assessments, participant surveys, student snap shots, etc. in alignment with grant and organizational standards
Provide verbal and written reports to the Manager Extended Learning
AGENCY/TEAM COHESION
Responsible for facilitating and attending mandatory departmental meetings
Attend agency meetings and events
Complete required training on time
Maintain compliance with agency policies and procedures
Prepare for and attend regularly scheduled meetings with supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
Bachelors’ degree or Associates’ degree and/or a minimum of three years of relevant experience working with groups of children.
Progressive experience supervising teams and projects.
Understanding of instructional best practices and common core state standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in human services or related field preferred
Baltimore City residency is strongly preferred
Demonstrated commitment to working in service of youth, marginalized communities and communities experiencing the systematic effects of concentrated poverty
Experience directly supervising staff
Previous instructional (public education system) experience
proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)
Experience using efforts-based case management software (e.g. ETO, Apricot 360, Salesforce, etc.)
