About the role: This is an AmeriCorps Service Opportunity.
Reporting to the site Extended Learning Coordinator, as the Site Liaison you will be responsible for administrative procedures as assigned such as, but not limited to:
Maintaining required volunteer paperwork, files, supporting Experience Corps volunteers on site with students and space.
Ensuring that program supplies are stocked and available for each session.
Working in coordination with the Extended Learning Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
Program oversight and Student Support
Promotes and provides ongoing contact and support of the direct service volunteers.
Assists with planning events as well as training, orientations, and site meetings.
Oversees program and volunteer training implementation, ensuring quality and fidelity of program goals through assessments, observations, and direct feedback from school site staff.
Provides support for volunteers.
Other duties as assigned.
Communication and Documentation
Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
Maintain all required documentation.
Review and provide support to maintain accurate and timely documentation in Elev8 systems and Salesforce.
Agency/Team Cohesion
Responsible for attending mandatory departmental meetings.
Attend agency meetings and events.
Complete required training on time
Maintain compliance with agency policies and procedures.
Prepare for and attend regularly scheduled meetings with supervisor.
Uphold organization values related to race, equity, and liberation of people and communities of color.
Skills and Experience:
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred
Experience working in school setting.
Baltimore City residency is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated commitment to working in service of youth, marginalized communities and communities experiencing the systematic effects of concentrated poverty.
Hours: 10-month 450 service hours (quarter-time)
Location: We have 4 openings and the selected candidates will be placed at 1 of the following locations:
Arundel Elementary School
Collington Square Elementary/Middle School
New Song Academy
Wildwood Elementary/Middle School
Compensation: Living allowance of $900.00 per month (provided in accordance with organizational payroll standards) and successful completion of AmeriCorps service includes $1,824 Segal Educational Award. Members also are provided with laptop, ongoing professional development, and on-site coaching.
