ABOUT ELEVATE COMMUNITY CENTER

Elevate Community Center is a 501c3 organization located in Santa Clara County, providing free and low cost legal services in areas of:

• Domestic Violence/Family Law
• Criminal Record Clearance (expungement)
• Business Litigation and Transactional Services
• Landlord/Tenant Disputes
• Real Property
• Other areas of civil litigation

ABOUT THE POSITION

• Full Time Exempt, Salary Range $74-84k
• Generous paid time off and emphasis on work/life balance, with the very rare weekend and evenings. (Our Executive Director turns her email off after hours!)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain an active caseload directly and through training, supervising, and delegating responsibilities to staff, volunteers, law students, and interns
• Assist with legal presentations and outreach to the community
• Assist with legal clinics and trainings for volunteers

QUALIFICATIONS

• Attorney in good standing with the California State Bar - newly admitted attorneys are encouraged to apply
• Coachability and responsive to feedback
• Familiarity with modern technology, such as MS word and Google Suite features
• Passion for social justice and commitment to helping the less fortunate
• Attention to detail
• Strong time management and organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and responsiveness to emails/inquiries
• “Can Do” positive attitude, with flexibility to meet the daily adventures of a rapidly growing organization
