    The following provides a detailed description of the position of Marketing and Sales Intern. Actual duties performed may vary slightly. The Marketing and Sales Intern is responsible for assisting the Marketing and Sales departments to execute and achieve their goals. The Sales and Marketing Intern will also assist with Member Service Center duties as needed as well as attending community events to represent and promote Elevate Fitness Clubs.

    Job Brief

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated marketing intern to join our marketing department and assist the Marketing Director and Sales Department to help achieve our goals. You will have administrative duties in developing, implementing, and tracking marketing strategies and campaigns in addition to being expected to attend events as a representative of Elevate Fitness Clubs for the purpose of networking and lead generation.

    As a marketing intern, you will collaborate with our marketing and sales teams in all stages of marketing campaigns. Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand and maintain our marketing channels.

    This internship will help you acquire marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in marketing and sales and should be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment.

    In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should have excellent multitasking and organizational abilities. The successful candidate will also have in-depth knowledge of marketing techniques, pay-per-click marketing platforms, and social media platforms.

    Responsibilities

    Collect quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaignsPerform market analysis and research on the competitionSupport the marketing team in daily administrative tasksAssist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mail, and web)Prepare promotional presentations for the sales team (pricing presentation sheets, etc.)Help distribute marketing materials including by attending events in-personHelp organize marketing eventsHelp identify marketing trends and key opportunities for innovationWorking closely with the sales and marketing departments.Creating marketing materials such as blog posts, testimonials, and presentationsGive presentationsProviding administrative support to the marketing and sales teamsPrepare, format, and edit a range of documents, images, and/or videoUnderstand the company product and brandGeneral office dutiesCreating and interpreting a variety of reportsOrganizing market researchAnalyzing questionnaires and other forms of feedbackUpdating social media accounts

    Requirements

    Strong desire to learn along with professional driveSolid understanding of different marketing techniquesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent knowledge of MS OfficeFamiliarity with marketing computer software and online applications (e.g. CRM tools, Online analytics, Facebook Ads, and Google Ads)Passion for the marketing industry and its best practicesCurrent enrollment in a related BS or Masters degree (or comparable experience)Effective written and verbal communication skillsA high level of attention to detailAbility to work effectively within a team and independentlyExperience using computers for a variety of tasksCompetency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Good organization skillsStrong willingness and desire to learn through actions
