We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Elevator Interior Designer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring creative vision, technical knowledge, and a strong understanding of materials, finishes, and fabrication processes. This role will collaborate closely with clients, architects, and project managers to design custom elevator interiors that meet both aesthetic and code requirements.
Design custom elevator cab interiors, including wall panels, ceilings, lighting, flooring, and handrails.
Develop detailed design drawings, renderings, and material specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
Collaborate with sales and project management teams to understand client needs and design intent.
Present design concepts, mood boards, and finish samples to clients and stakeholders.
Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, ADA standards, and elevator safety regulations.
Source and specify materials, finishes, and hardware suitable for elevator environments.
Work with fabricators and installers to ensure design integrity through production and installation.
Maintain knowledge of design trends, materials, and technologies relevant to elevator interiors.
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or related field.
3+ years of professional design experience (experience in elevator, commercial, or interior design preferred).
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
Strong understanding of materials, finishes, lighting, and construction methods.
Excellent visualization, presentation, and communication skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with elevator code requirements and cab design standards.
Knowledge of fabrication and installation processes for metal, glass, wood, and laminate finishes.
Experience collaborating with contractors, fabricators, and architects.
