Washington, DC Metro Area | Full-Time | Top Pay for Top Talent
If you're an experienced elevator mechanic who wants autonomy, leadership support, and the ability to use your full technical skillset — this is not your typical maintenance role.
We are a fast-growing independent elevator company competing directly with the industry's largest players by empowering our mechanics — not burying them in bureaucracy.
No micromanagement. No excessive territory. No waiting weeks for decisions. Just well-run routes, responsive leadership, and the opportunity to play a meaningful role in the work we pursue.
What Makes This Role Stand Out • Maintenance-focused position — no modernization assignments • Manageable, strategically designed routes • Field-led leadership that understands the trade • Fast decision-making • Your expertise helps shape future projects In addition to managing your route, you will assist with site surveys for upcoming construction and maintenance contracts. Your field insight will directly influence project planning, scope accuracy, and long-term equipment reliability. (Top mechanics love this — it signals trust and career progression.) Candidates with construction or installation backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. DC residents are also encouraged to apply.
This Role Is Built For Mechanics Who: • Take ownership instead of waiting for direction • Identify issues before they become callbacks • Want their expertise respected • Prefer agility over corporate red tape • Are confident representing a company in the field If you are looking for somewhere to coast, this is not it. If you want to be trusted, valued, and compensated accordingly — let’s talk.
Core Responsibilities • Manage a dedicated maintenance route • Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues • Recommend repairs proactively • Maintain accurate service documentation • Assist leadership with site surveys for maintenance and construction opportunities • Provide technical insight to support accurate proposals
Qualifications • Active Elevator Mechanic License (No Exceptions) • 3+ years of maintenance experience preferred • Construction/installation background highly valued • Strong diagnostic ability • Professional, self-directed, and dependable • Comfortable evaluating equipment conditions and identifying project needs
Why Top Mechanics Leave the Majors for Companies Like Ours • Highly competitive compensation • Company vehicle • PTO + paid holidays • Health benefits • Stable routes • Advancement opportunities • Leadership that respects your time and expertise
Pay is structured to attract mechanics currently working for the majors. Compensation: $55 - $65 per hour based on experience and licensing. Confidential applications welcomed.
