Job Brief An Eleven Fifty Academy Software Development Instructor creates, improves, and delivers Eleven Fifty Academy Software Development courses preparing students for entry/junior level tech related positions. Keeping with industry trends, you will teach, create, and maintain the curriculum that will foster meaningful student learning experiences that are relevant to their next career step.
Job Responsibilities
Teach and deliver relevant course material to EFA students
Maintain proficiency in current software development concepts and best practices
Serve as supporting staff member for students in class or upcoming classes
Serve as an advocate for Eleven Fifty Academy programs and students
Design, create, improve, and implement lessons and curriculum according to up to date industry standards and trends
Maintain accurate student records including but not limited to report daily attendance, document progress reports and develop remediation plans as necessary
Actively engage with students by promptly responding to student inquiries, preparing needed materials for classes or programs, and assessing student assignments
Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in full-stack web application development, specifically C#, .NET Core, and JavaScript
Understanding and experience with agile development concepts, source code control, and deployments
Education or training background preferred
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong verbal and written communication and public-speaking skills
Passionate about software development and education
Comfortable working in a non-traditional environment
Strong competency of teaching topic
