Senior Cloud Engineer

We are looking for a an experienced and collaborative Senior Cloud Engineer to be part of a growing global IT department. As an essential member of the Infrastructure Team, you will be responsible for operations and system engineering. The ideal candidate thrives in working with a variety of tools, languages, systems and architectures while building and improving features, speed and reliability of core services and systems. 

Responsibilities:

• Support the migration of on premise systems to AWS
• Have a solid understanding of agile practices and DevOps
• Participate in all Infrastructure projects as a well-rounded Infrastructure/DevOps generalist.
• Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Passion for CI/CD and related topics.
• Knowledge of writing infrastructure as code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform
• Desire to build tools and automation.
• Ability to think creatively and invent new solutions to tough cutting-edge problems.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced cross-functional teams
• 2 years relevant experience with VPC, EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, Elasticache, CloudWatch, Elastic Load Balancing (ALBs).
• AWS Certification preferred
• GCP experience is a plus
• Strong in at least one programming language. Node.js, Python or Ruby are great. Shell languages (or config management tools) do not count.
