Our client is looking for a Data focused Business Analyst to join their team in Culver City. This position will work closely with users and application developers to identify and analyze requirements, analyze large volumes of data, define business and technical requirements, and validate deliveries.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze reference data needs of various user areas, suggest solutions and build as necessary
• Analyze the data from various sources, identify patterns, structures and data life-cycle
• Build requirements for Data-Model, integration, and process work-flow
• Translate the business requirements into functional requirements for development
• Build and manage inter-team project plans and keep stakeholders and sponsors informed
  

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of work experience as a BA/PM in the financial industry with specialization in Security Master and familiarity with vendors such as Bloomberg, Mark IT, Moody’s, SnP/GICS, and more.
• Strong analytical skills to identify patterns of data and structures to correlate data from multiple sources
• Strong organization and documentation skills
• Strong SQL skills to work with large volumes of data
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with a global team
• Familiarity with institutional trading workflows and technology
• Experience with Agile methodology is desirable
• Able to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment
