And we are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer!
Our client, a Financial Services company, is seeking a cloud services expert to help drive and deliver on their ambitious cloud platform strategy. The Senior Cloud Engineer will be engineering the next generation of infrastructure using major Public Cloud Providers (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) in a secure, compliant, and efficient manner. Working in a small team, they will be leveraging Infrastructure as Code and automation in all deployments. This position can be out of their New York or San Francisco office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute individually to the software development efforts of the team
- Migrate applications from an internal virtualized environment to our Public Cloud
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code Tools to automate deployments of new applications
- Own discovering and defining the high-level structure of software (main components, interfaces, and their interactions) to best provide business value
- Work in a cross-functional team to design and engineer solutions to complicated problems
- Provide technical mentorship to engineering staff regarding industry best practices as it relates to software and cloud engineering
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ Years of experience with a Public Cloud Provider (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
- 3+ Years of experience with Terraform
- 3+ Years of experience with Ansible, puppet, or chef
- 10+ Years of experience with one or more Enterprise Server Operating Systems (Windows/Unix/Linux)
- Experience with Agile/Scrum in DevSecOps
- Ability to identify and redirect current environment into what it should be
- Kubernetes: OpenShift (RedHat’s Kubernetes distribution), Docker, Helm and other container tools
- CI/CD tools: Artifactory, Jenkins, HashiCorp Vault, Spinnaker, etc.
- Cloud: AWS, Terraform, Ansible
- Operational: NewRelic, Splunk, AquaSec, SonarQube, Codacy, etc.
- Operating Systems: Deployment target is mostly Linux, but support developers using Windows, Mac, and Linux
- Supported platforms: js, SpringBoot, .NET Core, Python/Flask, front-end frameworks (Angular, Vue, React, etc)
- Databases: Postgres, MongoDB (Atlas), MS SQL Server, Snowflake
