And we are looking for a Sr. Developer/Analyst, Analytics!

The Analytics Systems Group provides one of the major services in our client’s IT organization. Their mission is empowering end users to make the best and timely decisions and actions in the investment lifecycle. The right candidate is a passionate, hardworking, and talented senior engineer/analyst to join the Analytics Engineering team. The team develops web services, automated processes, frameworks, models, and sets standards for quantitative development that supports the investment decision making process.

The incumbent will work with front office application developers, quant analysts, business analysts and the management team to design and implement solutions that drive operational efficiency and enhance investment returns across the entire technology stack (C#, ASP.NET Core, MS Azure, MongoDB, and SQL Server).

Essential Duties

Contribute to the build out of the company’s quantitative platform. Design, implement and maintain analytical tools and processes to service our internal clients. Main duties include:

• End to end ownership of applications. Hands-on analysis, design, implement and coordinate release of web services and automated processes
• Contribute to the build out of quant modeling and distributed computing capabilities
• Document, conduct training, and maintain existing web services and automated processes to support operational needs
• Investigate and incorporate machine learning/AI/distributed computing technologies to solve new problems and/or optimize existing sub-optimal processes
• Participate in requirements gathering meetings with analysts, developers and senior managers to design technical solutions and estimate delivery timelines
• Provide coaching and mentorship to more junior members of the team on all aspects of software development.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years hands-on end to end enterprise software development experience
• 5+ years requirements and design experience
• 3+ years Agile engineering experience, working on DevSecOps platforms
• Basic understanding of the finance industry and asset classes

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with API resource shaping, especially in the Capital Markets and Fixed Income
• Experience with either Risk Analytics or Returns and Attribution
• Experience leading development teams in either informal or formal reporting structure
• Worked on cloud migration projects, involvement in architecture
