  • Responsibilities

    We are looking for a Security Engineer to spearhead security engineering/operations initiatives for an innovative team. You will be responsible for overseeing security technology on a global level and making recommendations to improve technology as needed. You will play a key role in the delivery of new security solutions and act as the solution owner upon implementation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Act as the primary contact for all security operation tasks including vulnerability & threat management, security monitoring and security testing.
    • Play the key role in the coordination and completion of information security assessments and external audit.
    • Periodically assess security controls and make enhancements.
    • Perform cyber security investigations while adhering to forensic best practices.
    • Manage security scanning systems and vulnerability reporting.
    • Liaise between cyber security and business functions including risk management, internal audit, operations, legal and human resources.
    • Keep updated information on the latest security threats and recommend/implement solutions.
    • Enforce security policies and procedures via technical and manual means; ensure end users are following policies and procedures.
    • Create high-quality documentation of system functionality and security processes.

    Qualifications:

    • 4+ years in Information Security and/or Cyber Security, 6+ years in Information Technology.
    • Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, ELB/ALB, Route53, Guard Duty) is a nice to have.
    • Strong understanding of Linux Security Hardening best practices (CentOS, RedHat) is a plus.
    • Possesses security skills including white-hat hacking, vulnerability management, and pen testing.
    • Experience with regulatory compliance standards (PCI, ISO and GDPR) is highly desired.
    • Security certifications like CISSP, CEH, Security+, Cisco CCNA Security, etc. are a plus.
    • Compliance certifications like PCIP is nice to have.
    • Some project management experience will be beneficial.
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field is a preferred.
    • Ability to work independently without supervision and collaboratively with other teams.
    • A self-motivated individual who pro-actively seeks out work to be done and follows through.
