Job Description
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE The Decision Support Worker position is responsible for contacting patients to obtain collateral case documents. This position reports to the Director of Central Business Office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Contacts patients by phone and/or email to obtain pending documents
2. Verifies information given initially is accurate
3. Takes incoming calls from patients
4. Maintains a large caseload with minimum or no delinquencies
5. Reviews that collateral information is obtained prior to advancing case to next level
6. Performs other duties as required by management

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in an office setting. Telecommuting is optional. Must follow telecommuting guidelines.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday thru Friday, 8am to 4:30 pm. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status.
TRAVEL
No travel is expected for this position.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. High school diploma or GED
2. Type 30 WPM with accuracy
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Some college and/or knowledge of government assistance programs.
