Elite Climber and/or Aerial Lift Operator

    Full-Time | $40–$60/hr Based on Experience & Credentials | Full-time, Year-Round tree care

Are you an experienced climber or aerial lift operator who takes pride in clean work and wants to keep growing?

At Momentum Tree Experts, we hire professionals who care about doing things right—safely, thoughtfully, and consistently.

If you value precision, teamwork, and a well-run jobsite—and you’re looking for a place that invests in quality—this may be a great fit.

We’re a values-driven, TCIA Accredited company based in Novi, MI, serving high-end residential clients who care about proper tree care. While we do removals, they’re not our identity. We prioritize pruning, preservation, and technical excellence rooted in tree biology and long-term care.

    What Makes Momentum Different

We’re intentionally building toward leadership in high-end arboriculture.

Our goal is to create a team where being a Certified Arborist is the standard—not a rarity. Ongoing learning matters here because the more we know, the better we serve our clients, our team, and the trees we work on.

We’re looking for professionals who are hungry to grow and humble enough to keep learning. Ego and entitlement don’t help the work.

Our priorities are clear and consistent:

    Safety first.

    Quality second.

    Efficiency third.

We maintain a clean, professional, drug- and alcohol-free work environment and value calm, focused crews who take pride in excellent work without drama.

    The Role

You’ll join a crew where sound judgment, technical skill, and respect for the craft are expected. You’ll perform spur and spurless climbing and operate our CMC 100HD with care, support complex removals, execute high-end pruning, and help deliver clean, safe results from start to finish.

    Responsibilities include

    • Operating tracked and truck-mounted lifts near structures, wires, and landscapes

    • Spur and spurless climbing (MRS/SRS) and aerial work

    • Technical removals, rigging, and pruning to ANSI A300 standards

    • Driving trucks and trailers; operating chippers and loaders

    • Participating in daily job briefings and safety protocols

    • Supporting ground operations, cleanup, and equipment loading

    What We’re Looking For

    • 5+ years as a professional climber or aerial lift operator

    • Strong skills in rigging, pruning, removals, and ANSI standards

    • Spurless climbing proficiency or confident lift operation in tight spaces

    • Familiarity with dynamic and static cabling systems

    • CDL (Class A) strongly preferred, or a clear path toward obtaining one

    • Valid Chauffeur’s License (required)

    • Strong situational awareness, stamina, and a team-first mindset

    • ISA Certified Arborist and/or TRAQ preferred, not required

For experienced climbers: curiosity and continued growth matter more than tenure alone.
