JOB SUMMARY The role of the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Elite Spectrum ABA is of utmost importance in providing comprehensive care to our patients. With their specialized knowledge and skills, they are entrusted with a great deal of responsibility in assessing and treating communication disorders. The SLP must adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and ethics, ensuring that they work within the guidance and oversight provided by our organization. They collaborate closely with other professionals to develop individualized treatment plans and monitor the progress of each patient. The SLP's expertise plays a crucial role in helping our patients improve their communication skills and enhance their overall quality of life.

Requirements:

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The primary job responsibility of a 1099 SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist) is to work with Elite patients of all ages who have communication and swallowing disorders. These patients, come from a diverse age range of 2 to 18 years old. The SLP specializes in working with individuals who have been diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder or other related developmental disability. It is the duty of the SLP to assess and diagnose the patients' specific communication and swallowing needs and develop customized treatment plans to address these issues. This may involve providing individual therapy sessions and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for the Elite patients. The ultimate goal is to improve their overall communication skills and enhance their quality of life. Responsibilities can include:

· Evaluate levels of speech, language, or swallowing difficulty · Identify clients' goals for treatment

· Create and carry out an individualized treatment plan that addresses specific functional needs

· Teach clients how to make sounds, improve their voices, and maintain fluency

· Help clients improve vocabulary and sentence structure

· Work with clients to develop and strengthen the muscles used to swallow

· Counsel clients and their families on how to cope with communication and swallowing disorders

Qualifications:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certificates, Licenses and Registrations section.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1+ year of experience as a SLP

1+ year of experience working via telehealth

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED

TX SLP License

CCC-SLP

Professional Liability Insurance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through on-going skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations.

Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially regarding activities impacting patient or employee safety or security.

Ability to effectively communicate with patients, providers, and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles.

Ability to work independently, capable of handling challenging/difficult therapy procedures and patient care situations; demonstrates sound judgment and executes above average clinical skills.

Exhibits strong interpersonal, teamwork and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team and assures delivery of excellent customer service to all patients, visitors, and co-workers.

Possesses proficient computer knowledge

SUPPLEMENTAL REQUIREMENTS As an independent contractor, you have the flexibility to set your own therapy hours. The clinic is open every day from 8am to 4pm, Monday through Friday, with no weekend shifts required. This allows you to create a schedule that works best for you and your clients. In addition to determining your hours, you also have control over treatment planning. You have the freedom to design individualized treatment plans based on your expertise and the needs of your clients. Our clinic provides you with a steady stream of clients, so you can focus on delivering high-quality therapy services without worrying about client acquisition.
