Job brief:
Account Managers (AM) operate as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to customers. As the “manager” of assigned accounts they are directly responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships that retain and grow revenue and profitability. An AM answers client’s inquiry and identifies new business opportunities. An AM works collaboratively with internal teams including operations, carrier development, accounting and sales to improve the entire customer experience. The ideal candidate will have expert organizational awareness, proven customer service skills and sales acumen. A successful AM is a reliable professional capable of achieving a balance between customer satisfaction, sales growth and profitability.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute plans to achieve sales quotas and margin targets for each assigned account
Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer matters
Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives
Maintain accurate sales records, sales reports and customer information in the sales database
Prepare reports on account status
Develop and remain current on industry and market trends with the objective of industry expertise
Demonstrate professionalism in the workplace
Contribute to the management of day to day operations by striving to ensure customers have the following experience with our service:

Skills and Requirements:
2 to 4 years logistics market experience; particularly as broker and coordinator
Driven to achieve outstanding results
Ability to develop “trusted advisor” relationships with customers
Excellent communication skill; particularly via telephone and email
Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
Strong multi-tasking skills, ability to field high call volume while on a computer
Excellent time management and administrative skills
Strong negotiation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong follow up skills
Demonstrable business acumen and a deep understanding of a business sales process
4-year degree from accredited university
