Their duties include prioritizing loads of different types of crockery and kitchenware, hand-washing dishes, loading the dishwasher, and placing dishes to dry. Responsibilities: • Ensure appropriate levels of detergent and cleaning supplies while also keeping track of dishwashing machine mechanical problems • Scrape plates, sort dishes, and rinse glassware before putting them in the dishwasher to be cleaned • Place utensils and dishes in proper storage areas after unloading the dishwasher • Sweep and scrub kitchen floors to maintain a clean and tidy working environment • Participate in regular employee meetings to ensure all procedures and safety rules are followed • Dishwashers unload the cutlery and dishes brought to the kitchen by bussers while loading and organizing them into trays for the washer • Learn to maintain a commercial dishwashing machine, including keeping track of dishwashing machine mechanical defects and maintaining accurate levels of detergent and cleaning supplies • Other responsibilities include working with other kitchen staff to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen that adheres to food safety regulations • Train in all other areas of the kitchen, such as prep and line cook, to fully understand the inner working of a commercial kitchen to make yourself as indispensable as possible Qualifications: • Excellent stamina and physical health • Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification • Possesses a strong work ethic and has a high attention to detail • Prior food service industry experience is highly desired Compensation: $15 - $17 hourly
