Responsibilities of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):

Serves as a member of the nursing team and participates in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care provided.

Assist in supervising the medication program, activity in medication room and assisting the residents with self-administration of their medication.

Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living and Independent with Activities of Daily Living as needed.

Assesses residents for any decline of condition, signs of change in condition, weight loss, decline in ambulation, change in ADLs, development of skin breakdown, etc.

Is alert to physical and emotional changes and complications related to patient and reports any significant incidents and/or changes in the residents needs to the Executive Director/Resident Services Director.

Confer with residents and families on any issues relating to care and services

Respect patient’s rights, including visual and auditory privacy.

Maintain positive relations with residents, families and physicians.

Promote positive and supportive work environment

May perform other duties as assigned.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Requirements:

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with a current license in the State of Pennsylvania

Basic First Aid and CPR certification as required by State.

Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
