    Ellinell HealthCare is currently hiring experienced LPNs for a number of open shifts in the Bustleton/Sumerton areas, near Northeast Philadelphia Airport. Starting rates are $26/hr for qualifying LPNs.

    The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers top-quality nursing care in accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Health regulations. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will perform the following duties under the supervision of the Charge Nurse and physician and in conjunction with nursing assistants and other LPNs.

    Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse:

    Provides quality nursing care to residents to maintain or attain the highest practical level of functioning

    Assist in supervising the medication program, activity in medication room and assisting the residents with self-administration of their medication.

    Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living and Independent with Activities of Daily Living as needed.

    Assesses residents for any decline of condition, signs of change in condition, weight loss, decline in ambulation, change in ADLs, development of skin breakdown, etc.

    Report any significant incidents and/or changes in the residents needs to the Executive Director/Resident Services Director.

    Confer with residents and families on any issues relating to care and services

    Maintain positive relations with residents, families and physicians.

    Supervise the CNAs and the unit clerk in regards to work procedures, expediting work flow, evaluations, counseling and discipline

    May perform other duties as assigned.

    LPN Qualifications:

    Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse with a current license in the State of Pennsylvania

    State of Pennsylvania

    Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

    Basic First Aid and CPR certification as required by State.

    Proficiency in English: Able to read and write simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Able to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group settings.

    Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
