Ellipse invented EVC® (Ellipse Verification Code), the technology that generates a Dynamic Card Security Code during every Contact or Contactless card-present transaction. Founded in 2017, Ellipse is based in Los Angeles, with a global team.

    We are currently looking for a Equipment & Methods Engineer who will follow the implementation of our complete factory included the new assembly lines. We also expect you to be able to optimize day-to-day activities while improving quality and minimizing the costs.

    This position is a full-time, in-facility at our Culver City location.

    You will report directly to our Manufacturing Production Supervisor, you will be a crucial member of our team.

    MISSIONS

    Set-up facility & new lines

    • Visit our partner/supplier in order to be trained on the products, equipment and production process.

    • Follow and support the installation and the commissioning of new assembly lines in our new facility.

    • Set-up equipment to produce daily with the right throughput and the perfect quality.

    • Define and implement all production workstations before ramping up of production.

    • Document your tests and report issues in order to continuously improve the performances.

    • Keep the machine in safe conditions for our production team.

    • Be in relation with Ellipse engineering team in Taiwan to upgrade our assembly lines.

    • Be in relation with supplier of the assembly lines to keep the line running efficiently.

    Maintenance

    • Validate the preventative maintenance procedures.

    • Assist the maintenance team to perform efficiently the preventative maintenance on the new assembly lines: PLC, pneumatic and electric systems.

    • Insure the right level of stock of spare parts and consumables.

    • Follow the contractors for all equipment and building.

    Methods & Continuous improvement

    • Define and implement works station for production team.

    • Define and implement production flows in plant

    • Propose a clear logistic flow in our new facility.

    • Prepare all production work instructions and train our new operators.

    • Control and maintain the quality of the product during the production run according to the specification.

    • Oversee safe use of equipment and schedule preventative maintenance

    • Be part of daily KPI meeting : throughput, wastage, OEE, maintenance…

    • Follow PDCA with the team to continuously improve the performances.

    PROFILE

    • Proven of 3-5 years experience as a Methods, Equipment and/or Technical engineer in an industrial & technical environment.

    • PLC, electrical and/or mechanical experience is a plus

    • Camera system knowledge is an advantage.

    • Root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdown and line stoppages.

    • Rigor and high autonomy

    • Quality and customer focus

    • Good practical experience with MS Office
