    SUMMARY

    The Human Resources Generalist originates and assists with Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented; high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards; goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Primary focus will be HR support for nine+ locations in the Twin Cities market as well as sites in Chicago, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and any future acquisitions

    This position will be located in the Twin Cities area

    Assist in ensuring management change and initiatives align with strategies and business goals

    Responsible for providing support and service to employees in order to meet objectives that provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that continually enhances a superior workforce

    Distribute open enrollment materials to employees on a yearly basis, or as needed in order to assist employees with understanding their benefits and address any questions

    Provide support to management and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and practices

    Address employer/employee inquires and investigations in a timely and accurate fashion in order to assist clients and employees with employment related issues and requests

    Process status changes, open enrollment changes, new hire and terminations with carriers in a timely fashion to guarantee employees are enrolled in correct lines of coverage and that the plans administered are in compliance with IRS regulations

    Oversee the recruitment process of the organization to ensure vacant positions are filled efficiently and within legal requirements

    Develop new talent sources and leadership capabilities across locations in order to build an empowered and skilled employee bench

    Develop a constructive work relationship with vendors

    Manage the process of designing and implementing new HR policies

    Advise on wage issues of employees including promotions and evaluations

    Assist in designing training programs for new employees in accordance with their job description

    Coordinate training workshops for managers and employees to develop new skills and introduce efficient practices

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of direct employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education and/or Experience

    A Bachelor degree in Human Resource Development or Human Resource Management, PHR or SPHR preferred. Three to Seven years’ experience in a HR leadership role. Preferably in a Theater, Retail or Hospitality environment or an equivalent role.

    Performance Measurements

    Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.

    Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to ownership; directing the processing of benefit claims.

    Maintains and enhances the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and company policies, programs, and practices across the brand.

    Maintains excellent business relations with clients, vendors, trade professionals, etc.

    Computer Skills

    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
