    The Housekeeping Supervisor inspects and ensures that the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms meets and exceeds the Embassy Suites standards. Housekeeping Supervisors actively engage our guests and identify and meet these needs, aiming to exceed expectations at every opportunity. Previous Housekeeping experience required.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Duties include but are not limited to:

    Inspects the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms and reports any repairs or discrepancies in guest rooms.

    Provides immediate feedback to room attendants if work is not up to standards; providing appropriate follow up training.

    Assists in processing AM and PM room status reports.

    Assists with the maintenance of a fully stocked linen closet.

    Ensures all lost and found items are logged appropriately and follows up on lost and found inquiries.

    Ensures each room attendant has appropriate supplies and linen, and maintains a neat and well organized cart.

    Assists with the cleaning of guest rooms and laundry execution when necessary.

    Assists in maintaining a highly motivated and trained staff that continually strives for excellence in service and cleanliness.

    Coordinates and communicates with other internal departments.

    Monitors all guest requests to ensure they are met within the prescribed limits.

    Provides support to the Executive Housekeeper in all areas of the Housekeeping operations.

    Ensures that the public areas are clean and tidy when necessary.

    Be familiar with guest scenarios and follow-up on all guest requests and concerns, effectively adhering to the service recovery process.

    Understands the importance of our SALT scores.

    Aids guests in locating other areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible).

    Follows all company safety and security policies and procedures; reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; completes safety training and certifications.

    Follows all company policies and procedures; ensures clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintains confidentiality of proprietary information; protects company assets.

    Performs other duties as required within the scope of responsibility.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred. Some hotel experience preferred - minimum of three (3) months. Ability to manage priorities and be able to adapt to meet the diverse needs of our customers. Excellent guest services skills required.

    License/Certification: A valid driver's license is preferred.

    Language Skills: Ability to exercise excellent communication, organization, time management and listening skills. Fluency in a second language is an advantage.

    Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense to guest oriented situations. Must have a sense of urgency.

Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
