    We're looking for an active customer-focused team player with exceptional sales skills to be the next sales manager at our busy hotel. You'll be in charge of developing a sales and marketing plan that includes soliciting new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue targets via outside sales calls, on-site visits and sales tours, and community networking. This energetic leader will be able to enhance revenue by researching local market trends and competition behavior to discover and close business leads. Responsibilities: • Increase new business and accelerate revenue generation by cold calling, on-site visits, and sales tours, as well as engaging your local community network • Conduct yourself as a professional representative of the hotel at various industry tradeshows, conferences, and adhere to the guidelines of the budget and marketing plan • Establish and grow our market share by developing and maintaining relationships with major group and catering clients • Study and research local market trends and competitor activity to discover potential leads • Plan and compile the department budget in accordance with the hotel's overall sales objectives and strategy, with the assistance of the director of sales and marketing Qualifications: • Must have previous sales experience working in the hospitality industry • Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree in business or a similar field a plus • Exhibits superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities • 3 or more years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department, preferably in hospitality • Good organization and time management skills Compensation: $40,000 - $50,000 yearly
