About the Role
Sibylline is looking for a Protective Services Analyst to join our team embedded within a client’s risk and intelligence function. This role is remote with standard business hours but expected to work outside of standard hours when necessary to support the client. The Protective Services Analyst will be responsible for identifying, researching, and assessing threats and trends impacting our client’s people, operations, strategy, and brand reputation. The successful candidate will be an intelligence practitioner who has a passion for analysis, problem-solving, and advising and informing decision-makers.
Duties & Responsibilities
Essential functions of the role include, but are not limited to:
Monitor all-source information to proactively identify and assess threats, as well as highlight emerging trends that may impact business, productions, and talent.
Triage incoming requests for support, providing timely and pertinent analysis.
Conduct detailed assessments on threat actors and maintain databases.
Monitor for travel to elevated risk countries.
Support talent and executive protection details with accurate and timely information and alerting
Provide security/threat assessments for events.
Produce tailored threat assessment reports and deep-dive analysis to stakeholders in a cohesive, concise, and visually appealing format.
Respond to critical incidents, rapidly research and deliver information in a clear and concise format.
Conduct investigations, as needed.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Advanced knowledge of open-source, social media, and public records search techniques.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Clearly communicate risk to stakeholders in a concise format.
Approach cases with empathy and discretion.
Be aware of and work through cognitive bias that may impact assessment.
Proven ability to work with highly confidential information.
Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously and function in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Strong analytic, oral, and written presentation skills to include the ability to deliver communications cantered on the target audience.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in political science, international relations, security studies, or a related field (preferred but not required if candidate has equivalent work experience).
4 years of relevant protective intelligence experience in a corporate setting.
Experience with threat assessment tools and structured professional judgment guides for targeted violence risk.
Advanced proficiency in Web-based social media platforms, search tools, productivity applications, and communication technology.
