    Job Summary

    • The Design Engineering (DE) team develops flightworthy safety critical electronic hardware, power supplies, embedded software, and magnetics for Aerospace and military customers. We are a co-located team of electrical, mechanical, software, test, and project management engineers under one manager. These DE disciplines develop requirements, produce detailed designs, qualify, document, develop test equipment for, and help establish production.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Responsible for developing new embedded software products for power supplies and motor controls, implementing modern software design principles, resolving complex technical problems and providing solutions which are innovative and ingenious.
    • Create software architecture, manage software requirements in Jama and manage software configuration.
    • Familiarity with DO178 software development process.
    • Debug hardware and firmware issues
    • Develops, creates, and modifies embedded software/firmware for power supplies and motion controls.
    • Modifies existing embedded software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve its performance
    • Participate in internal review of software components and systems.
    • Collaborate with project leaders and other professionals within the Engineering department
    • Works on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations

    Required Skills

    • Experience with AC/DC, DC/DC and DC/AC power conversion using switching regulators for isolated and non-isolated topologies
    • Control systems knowledge for power conversion, motor control, battery management
    • Experience with embedded systems and programming using C language.
    • Must have experience working with microcontrollers and DSPs.
    • Must have knowledge of communication protocols, such as SM bus, RS485, CAN, Ethernet, RS232, I2C etc.

    • MSEE degree in electrical, mechanical, computer engineering and at least 3 to 7 years related work experience
