    Compensation: Base plus commission. 45K - 70K per year

    Shift and schedule:

We offer interior design consultations and a whole range of high-end furniture and home décor including window treatments. Our goal is to always ensure the best service and satisfaction to our customers.

    Role Summary

    As a Sales and Design Consultant, you'll be a critical member of the Embellish My Home team. To succeed in this role, you must be self-motivated, highly customer-focused, energetic, and achievement oriented. You'll work in the store showroom and be responsible for offering design consultation and advice to customers, diagnosing their design and home furnishings needs, creating and proposing solutions, presenting product options, and answering questions regarding products. In addition to doing in-store sales, you'll also do home visits to provide customers with the best design solutions. The salary is part hourly based and part commission based.

    Responsibilities

    Drive floor sales and a memorable shopping experience by providing customers with the best enriching interactions and product selections.

    Be an active listener to client’s needs in order to formulate desired solutions.

    Help clients for space planning and recommending furniture based on their desires and budgets.

    Achieve individual monthly sales quotas as defined by management as well as productivity standards, KPIs and service goals.

    Develop and maintain solid product knowledge of all our merchandise in order to best help customers with their selections.

    Performing daily sales activities, including closing sales, post-sale follow-up, opening and tagging merchandise, providing ship dates, entering data into the POS system, etc.

    Follow all safety and loss prevention procedures.

    Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude at all times.

    Organizing, updating and maintaining showroom literature and samples.

    Assist other team members on operational issues like receiving stock, floor sets, coordinating in-home deliveries, inventory management, and maintaining the showroom presentation.

    Attending sales meetings and trainings.

    Be reliable and punctual.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Understanding of basic design abilities including interpretation of floor plans, space planning and fabric selection.

    Prepare design presentations for customers using tools like mood-boards, print outs, PowerPoints, sketches or other methods that help customers perceive the design concept.

    Conduct in-home design consultations in a 35-40mi radius.

    Extraordinary sales and customer service skills.

    Excellent written and verbal communications.

    Exceptional listening, and problem-solving skills.

    Self-motivated and receptive to coaching and learning new products.

    Multi-tasking capability in a fast-paced retail setting.

    Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively and efficiently.

    Ability to stay up to date on current design trends.

    Comfort level working well in a team concept and on your own.

    Optimistic, outgoing and an energetic personality.

    Ability to stand, bend, twist, stoop, reach, climb ladders, move product, supplies and/or boxes to and from all levels of the store and stockroom. Ability to move and/or lift up to 35 lbs to a height of 3-4 feet; heavier product with team assist.

    Experience Required:

    Bachelor's degree preferred, especially in the Design field; HS Diploma required.

    Minimum 2 years of proven retail sales/customer service. Furniture experience preferred. High-end apparel and luxury retail sales experience considered.
