Job Description

Small CPA firm in Rockford is seeking a seasonal, full-time tax preparer for the upcoming tax season. Hours would be Monday-Friday, generally 8-5pm and some weekends as needed. The ideal candidate would start in late January/early February with employment ending after the tax season. There may be additional work after tax season during other periods of the year as well. Requirements and preferences: • 2+ seasons of previous tax experience. • Experience completing individual, trust, & business tax returns on tax software such as CCH ProFx, UltraTax, etc. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred. • CPA or Enrolled Agent license a plus. Accounting experience a plus.
