Job Summary

We are seeking a CAD Furniture Designer to join our team! As a Furniture Designer, you will be working closely with our Creative Director and our Production Manager to produce 2-dimensional CAD drawings that are detailed, accurate, and annotated of our standard and custom furniture (primarily soft seating/lounge furniture). The ideal candidate has previous experience working to support a CEO or Creative Director within the furniture industry, using AutoCAD, Solidworks and/or similar software.

Responsibilities

Support the Creative Director in completing all furniture design-related tasks

Interpret specifications/directions to draft accurate CAD drawings for customer approval

Annotate all CAD drawings with design specifications and materials

Work closely with members of our production team to verify dimensions/instructions for build

Learn and follow all company design guidelines

Track all time spent on projects accurately

Qualifications

Previous experience drawing furniture with CAD software (AutoCAD, Solidworks, Fusion 360, Shaper 3D or similar)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The ability to work well within a growing team environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong independent worker

Start date: Immediate Schedule: 8 hour shift with 30-60 minute lunch (Production team works 6am-2:30pm / Admin team works 8am-5pm) Status: Full-time, non-exempt (35-40 hours per week) Benefits: Paid national holidays plus 1 week paid vacation, 1 week sick leave, 401(k) available Note: Other benefits evolving as team grows over the next 12 months!
