    Emblem is a furniture manufacturer based in Chino, CA. We specialize in upholstered custom furniture and also offer private-label furniture manufacturing for select partners. Our team primarily works with contract furniture dealerships, designers, and architects around the country to provide lounge seating that transforms commercial settings into hubs for connection, community, and creativity. We design our furniture in-house at Emblem, then prototype and build each piece just down the hall in our workshop.

    Job Description

    We are currently seeking a Production Manager to join our team and help lead our manufacturing operations. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timeliness. You will be part of a close-knit team, where trust and transparency are paramount. The ideal candidate will enjoy the challenges and rewards of growing an ambitious furniture company.     Responsibilities:

    Manage and coordinate all aspects of the production process, from planning to execution

    Oversee the scheduling and allocation of resources to ensure on-time delivery

    Collaborate with the design team to optimize production methods and improve product quality

    Monitor production workflow and identify areas for improvement to maximize efficiency

    Create estimates for new and custom furniture projects

    Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure products meet industry standards

    Hire, train and supervise production staff, motivating them to reach production targets

    Develop and implement inventory control programs and coordinate with the administrative manager to ensure the timely delivery of necessary materials

    Promote an inspiring, challenging, enjoyable, professional atmosphere for the production team

    Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees

    Work closely with company founders to reach short and long-term efficiency goals

    Develop systems, processes, and vendor partners that further company goals for sustainability

    Requirements

    Must have proven experience in furniture production, in a managerial role (minimum 3-5 years)

    Bilingual (English and Spanish)

    Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams

    Excellent organizational and time management skills

    Knowledge of production planning and control methods

    Ability to analyze data and use it to drive decision-making

    Ability to organize inventory systems

    Ability to advise on the development of SKU and tracking systems

    Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control procedures

    Proficient in using manufacturing software

    Prefer experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S and/or other optimization techniques

    Prefer direct experience as an upholsterer and/or building frames

    Job Type: Full-time Pay: Approximately $75K annual salary, DOE Schedule: Production team ; 6am-2:30pm, M-F. Benefits: Paid national holidays plus 1 week paid vacation, paid sick days, 401(k) available. Note: Other benefits evolving as team grows over the next 12 months.
