POSITION SUMMARY
Leads for technical discussions with customers during sales campaigns aiming to educate and translate the product value proposition to their reality, fostering Embraer's sales effort lasting success. Duties include joining customer meetings and visits, guiding and developing persuasive aircraft performance analysis, ownership cost analysis, comparative studies and any aircraft/company related material. Represents the company externally on tradeshows and conferences globally.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Represents the company externally in high profile sales campaigns and events which require in-depth product expertise, addressing Corporate Flight Departments, Fleet Operators and Individual Buyers
- Leads technical discussions with customers and internal stakeholders during sales phase about every aspect of the product and its surrounding offers
- Be a company-wide reference in aircraft performance, including development of assertive and persuasive analyzes that foster customer's effective education about Embraer products. Suggests and creates tools to support this subject.
- Develops Aircraft Performance Guarantees, including negotiation, calculation and wording, combining customer satisfaction and protection of company's integrity and interests
- Masters aircraft cost of ownership and cost of operations, including development of complex cashflow studies and financial scenarios. Develops and suggests new tools to support this function
- Fully develops insightful and accurate comparative studies of Embraer aircraft against other aircraft prospects are considering. Guides more junior Sales Engineers in the same task
- Delivers effective training to the Sales Team and mentors more junior Sales Engineers
- Keeps the Embraer Sales Kit updated, collecting, adding, eliminating and updating information such as: statistics, fuel cost/price, clients, manufacturers, economy, general industry & business data, etc. Actively suggests and develops new tools and insights
- Identifies aircraft design interior, exterior, and performance, enhancements and make suggestions to the Product Strategy and Engineering teams
- Stays current on subjects/matters concerning the market, consulting, researching, studying specialized publications, taking part in courses, seminars and conventions. Actively brings such knowledge into the team's action
- Maintains external contacts with industry players and influencers, including consultants and brokers, providing/obtaining information and education, in alignment with the sales objectives
- Supports Marketing initiatives and ensures that product value proposition is represented with excellence
- Represents the company remarkably in trade events and conferences, interacting directly with customers, visitors and delegates
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
EDUCATION:
- BA Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering fields
EXPERIENCE:
- 8-10 years of experience in a sales engineering, sales, sales support, flight operations engineering, product development engineering or similar function
- Relevant knowledge of aircraft performance and/or aircraft systems required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Ability to work under pressure and highly dynamic scenarios
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter
- Extensive knowledge in a specialty area and in all other interrelated tasks and responsibilities of the job function.
- Takes leadership for applying new processes and skills to improve the function's status quo.
- Advanced PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Desired software programming skills
WORKING CONDITIONS / ENVIRONMENT/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally in support of sales department, marketing or tools development. 15%-20% travel required.
