    POSITION SUMMARY

    Responsible to coordinate and develop Service Bulletins (SB) related to aircraft modifications for aircraft in operation (fleet) and deliver cost effective solutions that meet customer satisfaction in terms of safety, quality, and lead time. The successful candidate will develop SBs by collaborating with Design Engineers, Program Managers, experts with the application of technical and good organizational skills. Will review designs and manage project timelines, resources and logistics needed for the implementation of the project to the fleet. Review and approve technical drawings, engineering orders and design documents to develop SBs. Supports continued airworthiness. Provides engineering and on-site technical assistance during product implementation and in as needed basis at customer locations or at assigned maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facilities. Coordinates and supports customer proposals with business areas.

    JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

    • LEVEL of RESPONSIBILITY: Principal Engineer – Will be responsible for and be a technical reference within their discipline(s) (i.e. electrical, mechanical, civil or I&C) on a medium to large projects. May coordinate work for junior to senior level engineers on large projects.
    • Responsible aircraft component and installation level design and integration
    • Engineering integration between supplier and OEM components and installations.
    • Engage and interact with marketing and customers to address customer needs.
    • Ensure for Design to Cost, Value, Quality, Maintenance, and Manufacturing.
    • Ensure project related engineering data complies with corporate policies and certification requirements.
    • Apply technical principles, theories and concepts to solve a wide range of challenging engineering problems.
    • Review designs and manage project timeline, resources and logistics needed for the implementation of the project to the fleet.
    • Review and approve technical drawings, engineering orders and design documents to develop Service Bulletins related to aircraft modifications.
    • Supports continued airworthiness.
    • Provides engineering and on-site technical assistance during product implementation and in as needed basis at customer locations or at assigned maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facilities.
    • Supports special projects and/or other duties as assigned by management.
    • Ensure that work accomplished meets applicable customer specifications.
    • Ensure all work completed is following all Embraer and Industry standards.
    • Responsible to train and spread knowledge related to their field.
    • Responsible for developing or revising SBs in accordance with defined processes and procedures according to program and schedule requirements.
    • Responsible for approving drawings and engineering orders.
    • Review impacted aircraft configurations fleet wide to determine the configuration requirements of the service bulletin.
    • Analyze CATIA, engineering drawings, and other design documents to define the methodology and procedures required in the design of the Service Bulletins.
    • Define appropriate man-hours to complete service bulletin implementation.
    • Elaborate area guidelines, procedures, and Action Plans.
    • Represent the service bulletin team in audits.
    • Participate in service bulletin validations as required.
    • Support process improvements, quality improvement initiatives, product improvements and support strategic initiatives to advance their discipline.
    • Participate/lead open discussions regarding ways of working and on-going projects - support/lead any ongoing improvement initiatives in line with business needs.

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    ** Education:**

    • Must have a bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience plus Project Management Professional (PMP) or related certification.
    • Experience analyzing and interpreting data from multiple sources.

    ** Experience:**

    • Minimum 12-15 years of experience in related discipline (such as Service Bulletins, Operation and Non-Operation Manuals)
    • Generally, 8-12 years of experience in the Project Management Discipline with a minimum of two (2) years in a Project Manager Role managing high priority projects.
    • Executive Aviation or Commercial Aviation experience is desirable.
    • Familiarity with tools and methodologies such critical chain project management (CCPM), Agile, JIRA, standard generalized markup language (SGML), and lean manufacturing.

    ** Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:**

    • Proficient computer skills with use of Microsoft Office applications.

    • Demonstrated analytical skills and systemic view.
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner and fast-paced environment.
    • Verbal/written communication skills and ability to deal with different levels and audiences.
    • Collaborative profile.
    • Team oriented - ability to work as a member of a team with other departments locally and internationally.
    • Portuguese or Spanish language skills a plus.
    • Knowledgeable with aircraft assembly sequences.
    • Prior A&P Mechanic experience is a plus.

    Working Conditions / Environment/ Special Requirements

    • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
    • Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.
    • Availability for domestic and international travel.
    • Hybrid work (at least three days a week at the office).
