    POSITION SUMMARY

    Implements processes and oversees results related to material services and support, such as spare parts sales, warranty, and special material programs (repairable and expendable programs).

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    LEADERSHIP AND STRATEGIC IMPACT

    • Prepares and manages the target program in alignment with corporate macro objectives and controls the area/program budgets.
    • Supports the global development of the material service business
    • Prepares presentations and reports to customers, suppliers and management to assist with material management issues
    • Monitors potential business risk and investigates matters of significance, providing solutions or recommendations.
    • Tactical versus Strategic Impact: 75% Tactical/25% strategic

    CUSTOMER AND SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP

    • Manages the relationship and services provided to customer, obtaining high level of satisfaction, and striving to deliver better experience than our competitors
    • Interfaces with suppliers, ensuring that the contractual requirements and company's guidelines/policies are followed.

    • Manages the work environment to keep employee motivation and productivity.

    REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

    • Monitors, evaluates, and complies with all regulations related to the business needs, such as ISO, SOX, FAA rules, Export Control, Hazardous Material Handling, employment law (sexual harassment, disability, discrimination, labor laws, etc.), anti-bribery law, etc.
    • Ensures employment law, work security/safety rules, and company policy and procedures compliance.

    LEAN PHILOSOPHY AND CONTINUOUS PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

    • Keeps areas organized and reduce waste
    • Develops activities focused on new ways to optimize, rationalize, and modernize activities, programs, systems, technologies and tools, such as, SAP, Bar Code, BPM, Ecommerce, SPEC2000, and productivity solutions
    • Monitors providers performance
    • Increases quality of inventory, minimizes losses, monitors special inventories, controls scrap and inventory removal process, support reserve analysis and other financial requirements for inventory.
    • Monitors and controls profitability to achieve defined targets

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    EDUCATION:

    • BA in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Generally 5-7 years of experience in People, Project/Program Management. Experience with management of customer service and parts, warranty, and repairs, preferably acquired in an aviation/aeronautical industry.

    •  Experience in several aspects of aviation products supply chain management:

      • FAA regulatory framework applied to aviation parts handling
      • US Customs issues, such as HTS Classification, CTPAT, transactional value, and reconciliation procedures
      • Export Control
      • SAP inventory/warehouse management system
      • Lean tools and process improvement methods
      • Previously lead and/or directly supervised a group of employees.
      • Negotiation and operational control of product service agreements/contracts with vendors/repair stations.
    • Highly desirable experience with:

      • Transportation and import/export procedures in other countries, including taxation impact
      • Servigistic planning system and web-based material procurement systems (ILS, etc)
      • IT knowledge: productivity tools, Advanced MS Office, e-business
      • SharePoint, Sales Force
