At Embry Health, we strive to increase access to healthcare across the state of Arizona. We are a multi-site operation with drive-thru testing sites located throughout Maricopa, Pinal, Cochise, Yuma, Pima, Navajo, Gila, Coconino, and Mohave Counties. The Field Unit has primarily focused on COVID-19 testing, however, they are expanding to provide a variety of primary care related services including vaccinations, med checks, refills, and other services. Designed to increase access to medical services during the pandemic, especially for those who are unable to go into a traditional clinic setting. Test/clinic sites operate a variety of hours with many being open 24/7. Locations of clinic sites cover diverse locations such as parking lots, long term temporary structures, community college locations.

We are seeking flexible and talented Molecular Technicians to join our team and help to expand our laboratory services. Embry Health is a rapidly growing organization that services the state of Arizona. An ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and a continually growing company. Organizational skills and reliability are a must.

We are a 24/7 operation and this application is for the first shift – 0700-1600 (hours may vary based on operational need).

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• × Conduct high-complexity laboratory testing with significant focus on molecular/real-time PCR
• × Provide guidance and instruction for specimen testing and analysis using detailed laboratory instrument and equipment
• × Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
• × Identify and resolve issues that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and immediately work to document and implement corrective actions
• × Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
• × Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
• × Comply with all federal and state regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines
• × Ensure compliance with quality control policies established by Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and Commission of Office Laboratory Accreditation (COLA) and other accredited agencies and document all quality control activities, instrument/equipment calibrations and maintenance contained in logs
• × Able to operate all appropriate clinical equipment and perform manual testing in a safe and appropriate manner
• × Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Molecular/RT-PCR Laboratory
• Proficient with ThermoFisher QuantStudio
