Bilingual Collection Representative: Emerald is currently looking for a bilingual (Spanish/ English) individual to join their Collection team. Our ideal candidate loves to serve customers but is not afraid to ask for money. A day and a life as a collector is listening and resolving customer issues, setting up payment arrangements and maintaining a queue of accounts. Roles: * Outbound/Inbound Calls * Payment Processing * Communication Responsibilities * Properly manages and maintains a queue of accounts as directed by supervisor. * Answers inbound telephone calls in a prompt and professional manner in an effort to resolve the account or inquiry satisfactorily. * Initiate outbound communications to resolve outstanding accounts or unresolved patient inquiries as necessary. * Document each account related interaction accurately and efficiently within the appropriate software system. * Accept direction as given. * Work effectively with all staff members to accomplish tasks and special projects. * Negotiate payment extensions when necessary. * Adhere to all Local, State and Federal laws, and abide by all Emerald A/R Systems Policies and Procedures Skills Required * Fluent in Spanish * Organizational skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Time management skills are required * Note Taking * Active Listening * Basic Computer Skills Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files and boxes up to 25 lbs, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position.
