    SYNOPSIS: Develop and maintain successful relationships with both potential and existing customers within a designated region to drive increased revenue and profitability. Proactively market products and services provided by Emerald via sales calls and other interactions. Work with other departments such as operations and production to ensure that quality products and services are delivered in a timely manner. Provide accurate feedback of information on customer needs, marketplace, and competitors obtained from sales interactions.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    • Grow revenue and profitability YOY for territory and facility.
    • Engage with customers, proactively prospecting to find new revenue opportunities without management direction and develop strong partnerships with potential/existing customers. Develop territory strategy in conjunction with management.
    • Correspond with customers by means of phone calls, emails and letters as needed for account management and customer service needs.
    • Communicate with management about customer needs and opportunities along with competitive information.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales visits using CRM application including main topics and issues, products and equipment for purchase, overall satisfaction, and opportunities for revenue production.
    • Maintain accurate expense records and provide upkeep of company equipment.
    • Schedule and travel to customer locations for sales calls and project site. Consistent travel (up to 60%) within the territory.
    • Other tasks as designed by senior staff or others.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    • Education: High School degree required, Bachelor’s degree from accredited 4-year institution preferred.
    • Continuous history of successfully surpassing sales revenue goals.
    • 1-3 years’ experience in technical sales preferred but not required.
    • Basic computer skills required to include Microsoft Office, CRM data input, and others.

    • Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10lbs of force occasionally.
    • Visual Acuity: The work is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
    • Working Conditions:
      • The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: protections from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes.
      • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in a typical office environment).
      • The worker is subject to oil. There is air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids.
      • The worker is required to travel by plane, automobile, etc… within assigned territory.
