Manufacturing Manager
Position Objective:
The Plant Manager is responsible to lead the refurbishment/production center team to achieve service, quality, productivity and profitability objectives. He/she will develop and optimize processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the company. Manage the staffing to ensure orders are completed on a timely basis and quality objectives are achieved. This role works closely with the Service Operations and Quality teams.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee all areas of the plant inclusive of shipping, receiving, warehousing and refurbishment operations.
- Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
- Develop and execute production plans to meet customer delivery expectations.
- Establish a culture of consistent adherence to quality standards and procedures.
- Responsible for staffing and ensuring that employees are properly trained.
- Coach and develop team members to be high performance contributors.
- Manage the relationship with local staffing agencies to support workforce needs.
- Develop improvements to the quality system and production processes.
- Coordinate with the Service Operations team to ensure objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized manufacturing environment, while ensuring company and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee safety awareness and training.
- Manage the organization of the warehouse and inventory of materials and supplies.
- Ensure inventory accuracy is maintained and oversee cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Develop budgets and manage expenses for capital, operating expenses, and staffing.
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, operations, engineering or related field.
- 7 years manufacturing management and supervisory experience
- Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs, lean manufacturing and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication (written & verbal), interpersonal, and team build skills.
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally as part of an established and growing team.
- Advanced skill with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
