Production Supervisor / B Shift
Position Objective:
The Production Supervisor is a hands-on role, principally responsible for the direction of the Production team in collaboration with management. This person will manage the staff to ensure orders are completed in a timely basis and quality objectives are achieved. This role works closely with Quality, Logistics and Engineering.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise manufacturing personnel, assuring timely performance feedback, accurate timekeeping, and adherence with company policies.
- Create and oversee an employee training schedule that emphasizes productivity and resource conservation.
- Evaluate each station of the manufacturing process to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures to decrease the potential of employee injuries on the job.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment focused on 5S principles.
- Tracks and maintains employee attendance records and recommends employee hires, terminations, promotions and wage adjustments.
- Recommends improvements to production methods, equipment, performance and quality of product.
- Implementation of the Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) process in the investigate of production related customer complaints.
- Be willing to perform tasks outside of normal job duties, including filling in as required to ensure customer and production goals are met.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Associates degree (Bachelor’s a plus) along with 3-5 years’ experience preferred.
- Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Good communication (written & verbal) skills.
- Self-motivated and driven to exceed goals.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and alternate shifts in support of plant operations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing priorities, while maintaining a can-do-attitude
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and experience with ERP systems.
