  • Responsibilities

    The Manufacturing Process Engineer is principally responsible for evaluating and configuring manufacturing systems to improve efficiency, quality, sustainability, reduce cost, and develop best practices within the operations process. This role interfaces with all levels of Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Refurbishment.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by researching efficiency improvements and developing proposals; Includes the overseeing and implementation of improved procedures and new equipment installation.
    • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
    • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
    • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
    • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
    • Develop and present Return On Investment analysis for new equipment and process changes.
    • Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
    • Other duties and projects as assigned.

    Qualifications/Experience:

    • B.S. Engineering Degree
    • 3+ years’ experience preferred.
    • Intermediate knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel with basic skills and experience with ability to develop queries.
    • Self-motivated and driven to exceed goals.
    • Strong in Lean Manufacturing procedures, a plus
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to fluently communicate technical and business concepts to all levels within the organization.
    • Ability to manage complexity in a fast-paced environment.
    • Good communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing priorities.
