Overview
Lead a high-volume Emergency Department within a large, advanced acute care environment in Dallas. This Nurse Manager role offers the opportunity to oversee a dynamic ED team, drive clinical excellence, and influence operational performance in a fast-paced setting.
Ideal for experienced nurse leaders with a strong background in emergency services, team leadership, and performance improvement.
Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and direct Emergency Department operations to support quality patient care and departmental goals
Lead, mentor, and manage nursing staff, including hiring, performance management, and staff development
Oversee daily operations, staffing, and patient flow in a high-acuity ED environment
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction
Manage departmental budgets, resources, and operational efficiency
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and process improvements
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, quality metrics, and patient safety initiatives
Foster strong communication across teams, departments, and leadership
Address operational challenges and resolve patient care issues effectively
Qualifications
Required
Active RN license in Texas or compact license
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in an Emergency Department setting
Experience with staff management, budgeting, and physician relations
BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire
TNCC within 18 months
ENPC or CEN within 18 months
Preferred
Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
Strong background in quality improvement and operational leadership
