    🚨 Now Hiring: Emergency Response Team (ERT) Security Officer Location: Residential Behavioral Health Homes – Arizona Company: Brothers and Keepers Corp. Start Date: July 1st, 2025 Pay Rate: $23/hour

    About Us: Brothers and Keepers Corp. is dedicated to providing safe, supportive, and therapeutic environments for youth in our residential behavioral health programs. We are seeking committed and highly trained individuals to join our Emergency Response Team (ERT) — a specialized security unit tasked with ensuring safety, stability, and rapid response in high-stress situations.

    Position Overview: As an ERT Security Officer, you will be responsible for protecting youth residents, staff, and property. Your primary role is to prevent harm, de-escalate crises, and respond swiftly and appropriately during emergency situations. Ideal candidates will have a calm demeanor, excellent communication skills, and a strong sense of duty with a compassionate approach.

    This role requires sensitivity and an understanding that our youth suffer from mental illness, behavioral challenges, and substance abuse issues. ERT Officers must be able to respond with professionalism, care, and trauma-informed awareness.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Monitor and protect youth from self-harm, peer altercations, and external threats

    De-escalate verbal and physical confrontations using non-violent crisis intervention techniques

    Prevent and manage property damage within the facility

    Transport youth to hospitals or medical facilities when necessary

    Write and file incident reports accurately and in a timely manner

    Maintain a secure and structured environment

    Support staff and clinical team during critical incidents

    Demonstrate compassion and patience while handling youth in crisis

    Uphold the dignity and emotional safety of every resident

    Shifts Available:

    Weekday Shift: Monday–Friday | 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM

    Weekend Shift: Saturday–Sunday | 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM

    Requirements:

    Must pass a background check and Level One Fingerprint Clearance

    Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain prior to start date)

    Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

    Strong verbal communication and conflict-resolution skills

    Ability to remain calm under pressure and act quickly in emergencies

    Deep understanding and respect for youth dealing with trauma, mental illness, and addiction

    Preferred Backgrounds:

    Ex-Military

    Former Correctional Officers

    Former or current Law Enforcement Professionals
