Our hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including six exam rooms, two surgical suites, and a comfortable break room. Compensation Package:
Entry-Level: $110,000 - $140,000
Experienced Veterinarians: $180,000 - $250,000+ (based on experience)
No Negative Accrual – You will never owe money for unworked shifts!
ProSal Compensation: Base salary + 15%-25% production bonus (higher for experts)
Profit Sharing: Share in the financial success of the practice
Short-Term 1099 Options: Try us out with flexible, short-term arrangements before committing to full-time

Position Summary: As an emergency veterinarian at PETSURG & ER4PETS, you will provide high-quality emergency and surgical care for dogs and cats. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing illnesses, performing life-saving procedures, and managing critical care situations. You’ll also work closely with our experienced team to ensure the highest standards of patient care and client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform emergency examinations and develop treatment plans
Administer life-saving measures, including CPR, intubation, oxygen therapy, and medications
Conduct surgeries such as splenectomy, enterotomy, gastrotomy, ophthalmic procedures, and more
Provide post-operative care and pain management
Communicate clearly with pet owners, offering compassionate updates and explanations
Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
Qualifications:
DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) degree
Current California veterinary license or ability to obtain one prior to starting
At least 1 year of emergency veterinary experience
Expertise in minor to major surgeries and emergency procedures
Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts to pet owners
Collaborative and compassionate team player
Desire to contribute to practice growth and staff development
