    About GVETS

    GVETS provides emergency and urgent veterinary care 365 days a year, including nights, weekends, and all major holidays. Our hospital features modern, high-tech diagnostic and treatment equipment, a collaborative team culture, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient and client care.

    What You’ll Do

    Emergency & Critical Care:

    Perform triage and initial assessments on incoming emergency cases

    Assist veterinarians with emergency examinations, diagnostics, and treatments

    Provide hands-on nursing care for critical patients, including IV catheter placement, medication administration, and lab work

    Assist with anesthesia, diagnostic imaging, surgical procedures, and CPR/emergency resuscitation

    Monitor patients’ vital signs, pain levels, and response to therapy

    Technical Skills:

    Place and maintain IV catheters, perform venipuncture, and collect lab samples

    Operate diagnostic equipment (radiology, ultrasound, laboratory analyzers)

    Assist with anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery

    Perform CPR and emergency resuscitation when required

    Client Communication & Support:

    Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding patient status and treatments

    Provide emotional support during emergencies and critical care situations

    Educate clients on discharge instructions, medication administration, and follow-up care

    Hospital Operations:

    Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment, ICU, and surgical areas

    Ensure all equipment and supplies are stocked and in working order

    Adhere to hospital safety, sanitation, and infection-control protocols

    Accurately document patient records, treatments, and progress notes

    What We’re Looking For

    Experienced Veterinary Assistants are welcome

    Licensed/Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVT, RVT, LVT) preferred

    Previous experience in emergency or critical care strongly preferred

    Ability to thrive in a high-energy, team-oriented environment

    Excellent communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills

    Willingness and desire to work part-time nights, weekends, and holidays

    Strong technical skills in emergency and critical care medicine are desirable

    Hour Required-Please only apply if you can commit to these hours: Applicants NEED TO BE AVAILABLE ALL THESE HOURS

    Sunday to Friday from 12midnight to 8am

    Saturday and Sundays ALL Day/Night/OVER-Night Availability

    Holidays

    Shifts will Vary- You will not be required to work all these hours just have the full availability.
