    Public Biotech company has a newly created role for FP&A Manager.

    The Finance Manager will be responsible for helping manage financial planning cycle (annual planning, quarterly updates, and long-range plans). This is a Corporate FP&A role responsible for overall consolidated planning/reporting as well as managing select corporate functions. The finance manager will help manage and maintain executive-level reporting tools such as summary reports and business dashboards. This position will also be responsible for managing consolidated Financial reporting and work with multiple partners to analyze headcount, expenses, and capital expenditures.

    The candidate will demonstrate the ability to understand and apply various principles and possess a deep knowledge of business processes. They will tackle and resolve a wide range of challenges, raise business issues, identify and implement process improvement programs. A strong candidate will have a demonstrated ability to communicate with peers, vendors, and top management clearly and concisely.

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Work closely with the Director of FP&A to build a robust, analytical, strategically focused, and influential group
    • Drive reporting and presentation capabilities to enhance decision making (e.g., Budget vs. Actual, Long Range Planning, Capacity Planning, PO status reporting, and other ad hoc analysis)
    • Manage and own key business relationships across the organization
    • Understand business strategy and associated metrics to forecast growth needs and support the company’s growth strategy
    • Support quarter close activities and ensure that financial data is properly recorded, analyzed, interpreted, and understood
    • Collaboratively identify risks and opportunities that drive financial results; manage this R&O together with the broader Finance organization and partner with business leaders to drive uniform alignment across the organization
    • Become an Adaptive Planning superuser and support FP&A consolidation, analysis, and reporting
    • Develop standard reporting packages & dashboards across all businesses for functional leaders
    • Provide quarterly reports and monthly ad hoc analysis for business support
    • Assist with the development and implementation of scalable tools, systems, and processes to support timely, data-driven, and accurate forecasts

     

    Qualifications:

     

    • Minimum of 7+ years of Finance related experience, Life Science/Biotech experience with at least 5 years in FP&A
    • Must be a proactive and highly organized self-starter, able to work independently and under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
    • Excellent communication/collaboration skills required; the role involves building strong relationships across the organization
    • Strong communicator who can explain complex concepts to a non-financial audience
    • Prior experience working with ERP systems, Financial Planning tools, and other financial systems required; Adaptive Planning experience a plus
    • Advanced capability with Excel/MSOffice experience required
    • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects with competing priorities and tight deadlines
    • Superior Excel and PowerPoint skills
    • Positive work ethic, superb communication and organizational skills with high attention to detail, and unquestionable integrity and personal ethics
    • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with the ability to think strategically
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
    • MBA and/or CPA preferred
