Accounting Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented customer service-focused professional to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment who will be responsible for corporate accounting operations and contribute to the continuing success of the Company.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain company general ledger
• Assist with the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries, allocations, and account reconciliations
• Assist with various areas including cash and investments, prepaids, fixed assets, and accruals
• Prepare audit support schedules
• Assist with various SEC filings
• Ensure SOX compliance by monitoring accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Make and implement recommendations to improve accounting policies and procedures
• Support the organization in maintaining a work environment focused on quality and that fosters learning, open communication, collaboration, integration, and teamwork

Keys:

• 3-5 years of accounting and reporting experience, preferably with public companies, ideally a Big 4 CPA
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and experience with SEC Regulations
• Experience with mid-sized ERP systems
• Must possess the ability to multi-task and work in time-sensitive situations to meet deadlines
• Client Facing/excellent customer service
• Experience in the life sciences, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industry highly desired
• Self-motivated and independent, loves to work in a dynamic, collaborative team-oriented environment
