Job Description

We expect our Associates to:

·         Be welcoming and warm – greet every customer like they are a friend

·         Demonstrate excellent product knowledge when answering customer questions

·         Be creative and inspirational in their recommendations for customers

·         Learn and show proficient use of our POS system software

o   Manage financial transactions

o   Balance cash drawers

·         Achieve weekly, monthly and yearly sales goals

·         Create merchandise displays in accordance with company standards

·         Act with kindness and respect towards all colleagues

·         Answer phone calls/take detailed messages

·         Maintain the store aesthetic to the highest standards

o   Replenishment

o   Vacuum/sweep

o   Dusting

Qualifications:

·         2 or more years sales/customer service experience

·         1 or more years visual merchandising experience preferred

·         Attention to detail

·         Polished appearance

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Willingness to learn

·         Ability to take direction

·         Excellent organizational skills

·         High standards of cleanliness

·         Ability to work occasional evenings and regular weekends

Company Description

Home and Garden Store Emily Joubert opened its doors in Woodside California in 2005. It’s owner, Judy Sieber named the store after her beloved grandmother, who shared with Judy her love of simple beautiful things. Judy has infused Emily Joubert with that love and created a store that immediately makes you feel at home. The store is filled with unique, eclectic and fanciful finds for the home and garden from all over the world.
