We are seeking an experienced AR Specialist for our Elk Grove Village location who will handle all of collections and would eventually manage the entire portfolios of accounts.

Responsibilities:
\- Contact individuals or businesses to collect outstanding debts
\- Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements with debtors
\- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collections activities
\- Follow legal and ethical guidelines when pursuing debt collection
\- Utilize telemarketing techniques to reach debtors and discuss payment options
\- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies and account issues
\- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely payment processing

Qualifications:
\- Previous experience in collections or a related field is preferred
\- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to effectively communicate with debtors
\- Familiarity with accounting software for tracking and managing collections activities
\- Proficiency in math and financial concepts for accurate payment calculations
\- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently to meet collection targets
\- Understanding of accounts payable processes and procedures
