    Job Description

    Our client, a leading global 3PL full-service provider is looking to add an experienced Training Manager to their operations team. This is a high visibility role with growth potential as well as a very competitive compensation and benefits package. This role will sit in Leandro, CA.

    The Training Manager is responsible for the development of SOP and staff training to the approved standard.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop, publish, and implement training SOP for Operations, Customer Service Representative new hires.

    • Responsible for the development of in house system.

    • Become internal system super user.

    • Create internal system trouble shooting guide.

    • Responsible for effective training roll out.

    • Serve as a process and procedural resource for internal employees - answer "how to" questions on systems, processes, and policies.

    • Stay informed of system and process updates; document changes and assist with communication and rollout.

    • Ensure all training curriculum is up-to-date, accurate and in line with policy.

    • Assist with creating new or updated training as needed.

    • Identify deficiencies in departmental training and ensuring consistencies.

    • Create and track training matrix.

    • Develop process to stay up-to-date and implement necessary changes according to law and industry.

    • Track employee turnover and assist with determining root cause of turnover in order to sustain retention.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    · Three years of work experience in warehousing, logistics 3PL environment.

    · Advanced ability to solve problems.

    · Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly verbally and in writing.

    · Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook are required.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    This job operates in a professional office and warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines in a warehouse setting.

    POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    TRAVEL Travel is primarily local to the west coast during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
