JOB DESCRIPTION:
CUSTOMER SERVICE REP./SHIPPING
1ST SHIFT: 8AM-4:30PM
PAY: $18.00-$20.00 DOE
LOCATION: IRVINE, CA
- Input customer orders into Company Database or Warehouse Management System.
- Create files and maintain all files in an accurate manner.
- Acknowledge and provide response or required information to customer on the same day or provide an expected time to provide information.
- Notify customers and receive proper written authorization prior to performing work of all extra charges.
- Dispatch containers to dispatch department ensuring that no unnecessary container per diem occurs.
- Prepare documentation to dispatch containers back to the terminals as soon as released or directed by customer.
- Notify customers when their freight will not make their designated vessel.
- Complete container load plans throughout the day, notifying customers of all discrepancies.
- Immediately inform Customer Service Supervisor of any issue that cannot be resolve by the Customer Service Representative.
- Updating the daily workload planner with inbound appointments, railcars, and outbound loads.
- Creating and receiving storage and shipping paperwork for inventory accounts.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records using computer and physical inventory methods.
- Ensure accurate and timely invoicing within company required 48 business hours
- Keep all office areas in a clean and orderly manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
